PREPARATION OF UNIQUE IDENTITY CARD FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (UDID)

                   All the residents of Chandigarh having a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Chandigarh Administration are requested to report at the below mentioned centres on any working day from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM alongwith documents as mentioned below for uploading of their particulars on the UDID portal for the preparation of UDID Card under the UDID project launched by the Government of India:

  1. Disability Certificate
  2. Residence Proof of Chandigarh
  3. One passport size photograph

POSHAN Maah  Dated : 10/10/2018

POSHAN Maah was Celebrated throughout the country from 1st to 30th September, 2018 under the POSHAN Abhiyaan launched by the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 8thMarch 2018

Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission) is India’s flagship programme to reduce stunting, under-nutrition, anemia (among young children, women and adolescent girls) to reduce low birth weight by 2%, to 3% per annum respectively and to intensify awareness generation on the importance of nutrition for health.

The Department of Social welfare Chandigarh Administration in convergence with line departments celebratedRashtriya POSHAN Maah with great enthusiasm and made it a Jan Andolan. Awareness  programmes  on all the Themes prescribed under POSHAN Abhiyaan were conducted throughout  UT Chandigarh. The aim of the program was to reach every household with the message of nutrition (Har Ghar Poshan Tyohaar) in the convergence with line departments.

The Ministry of Women and Child Developmentorganized a Poshan Maah Award Ceremony as part of Rashtrya Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyaan at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi on 10 th October 2018.The Ministry  gave awards to those States and UTs who successfully implemented the Poshan Maah activities in their areas. The Ministry of Women & Child Development has selected the officers/officials of U.T. Chandigarh for the Awards. 

UT Chandigarhhas been honoured with the Status of  BEST UT by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of India and awarded with eight awards:

Two State Level Awards:

1) BEST SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

2) Maximum Reach Across all Themes
