FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE MARRIAGE OF DAUGHTER OF WIDOWS/DESTITUTE WOMEN BELONGING TO SCHEDULE CASTE

Objective: To provide financial assistance for meeting the marriage expenses of daughters of widow/ destitute women belonging to Schedule Caste.

Eligibility:

  • Mother of the Bride should belong to the Scheduled Caste community.

  • The assistance is admissible for the marriage of two daughters in a family.

  • Girl should be at least be 18 years of age on the date of marriage.

  • For the first marriage only.

  • Family income should not exceed Rs. 2000/- p.m. (To be verified by the Tehsildar)

  • Resident of UT, Chandigarh for more than 3 years.

  • If both the parents of the bride are dead, the legal guardian will be entitled to this assistance

Required Documents :- (Self Attested Photocopy)

  • Death certificate of father of girl (Bride).

  • Caste Certificate.

  • Age proof of the girl.

  • Aadhar Card.

  • Residence proof of three years (Voter Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill, Water Bill etc).

  • Legal Guardian certificate in case of both the parents had died.

Incentive: Rs.20, 000/- (one time).
