Pension To The Disabled Persons

Objective: - Disability pension to disabled person is granted to Physically Handicapped person. Persons who are disabled to the extent of 40% and are residents of Union Territory of Chandigarh and fulfill the income criteria i.e. family income does not exceed Rs.1.50 lacs p.a. are eligible for grant of pension. The quantum of assistance is as under:-

• The pension payable to each person shall be @Rs.1000/- p.m. to those persons having 40% to 70% of disability.
• Rs.2000/- p.m. to those persons having more than 70% of disability.

Eligibility:

• Disability should be to the extent of 40% and above

• Resident of UT, Chandigarh for more than 3 years.

• Monthly family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 1.50 lacs annually.

Required Documents :- (Self Attested Photocopy)

• Two passport size photographs.

• Certificate of disability having percentage of disability 40% or above

• Aadhar Card.

• Residence proof of three years (Voter Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill etc).

Incentive: Rs.1000/- p.m.(Disability 40% to 70 %)

Incentive: Rs.2000/- p.m.(Disability 71% to 100 %)
